A PhD position in environmental chemistry / analytical chemistry is available at the Department of Chemistry. The appointment has duration of 4 years with 25% teaching duties in agreement with the department. To undertake the teaching duties is a requirement that the candidate speaks Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.This is a researcher training position aimed at providing to promising researchers the opportunity of academic development in the form of a doctoral degree. The position is related to the PhD program at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and is financed by NTNU.

The offered PhD position will be linked directly to the research activity within the national research Centre CtrlAQUA, a Centre for research-based innovation (SFI) where the Department of Chemistry at the NV faculty stands as partner among several others. CtrlAQUA is coordinated by NOFIMA. The vision for the CtrlAQUA Centre is to achieve a paradigm shift in the salmon farming through innovative solutions that support further expansion of Norwegian aquaculture, thus ensuring Norway’s position as a world leading supplier of aquaculture expertise, technology and sustainable seafood.
